After-School Care

Kids Club is a State licensed after-school childcare program run by the Brattleboro Boys & Girls Club, for children ages 6-10.   Transportation from local town schools such as Green Street, Academy, Community House and Oak Grove are provided each day.  Kids Cub operates Monday through Friday, 2-6pm, in addition to school vacation days, when it operates from 9-5. Snack and dinner are provided daily for all members. Kids club provides younger    members full access to all areas of the club, from the rock wall to the skate park, the bike shop, music room and technology lab.

For members of kids club, the day begins with a community meeting, followed by snack. Structured activities are planned throughout to day which helps to develop social and emotional skills, peer relationships, and problem solving skills. Weekly arts and craft projects encourage members to be creative and hands on, while physical activities encourage   movement and promote healthy lifestyles.  Power hour provides any member with the time and quiet space to work on homework or reading skills. Other activities range from movie days, cooking classes, and STEM mentoring.  STEM is a weekly science based program which focuses on teaching members about the          environment, involves hands on experiments to learn about concepts within the engineering, technology, and the  biological world.

Kids club is run by a group of dedicated staffs, who are  committed to providing an enriching and fun after-school program for all kids. It operates out of its own space within the club, and small groups provide members the social skills and one to one  attention for each activity.

Admission is open for new members, and subsidy childcare support is available if applicable.
